Terms
What applies to colour, quantity and returns.
Returns
Returns, exchanges and special orders
Two practical points worth knowing before you buy, rather than statements of policy:
- Custom-tinted products may be treated differently from standard unopened stock under the applicable sales policy, because they are mixed to your chosen shade. Confirm returnability before tinting or ordering.
- Keep your bill. It carries the product, the shade reference and the date, which are needed for any return, exchange or warranty question.
Ask before purchase if returnability matters to your decision. The actual policy, any time limit and any conditions are confirmed there.
Warranty
Product warranty
Manufacturer warranty, where applicable, follows the terms for the selected product.
NUVARA supplies products. Coating life, shade retention, waterproofing performance and prevention of surface failure depend on the product chosen, the substrate, the surface preparation, the application and the conditions in use — and are not guaranteed by us.
Where a specific product carries a manufacturer warranty, its terms are those of the manufacturer.
Colour & tint accuracy
What a shade card shows
Printed shade cards, screen images and physical samples all differ from the mixed product. Colour also reads differently in daylight, in shade and under artificial light.
Take a shade card to the actual surface before committing to a quantity. Where an exact match matters, ask for a small quantity to test first.
Keep any shade code, batch or formula reference shown on the bill or tint record, where provided. It helps with future touch-ups.
Batch variation
Buying in one lot
Shade varies slightly between manufacturing batches, and between separate tinting operations. Buy the full topcoat quantity in one lot wherever possible.
Where a job is bought in stages, tell us at the outset, and keep any shade code, batch or formula reference shown on the bill or tint record, where provided.
Surface preparation
Customer responsibility
Paint performance depends on the surface it is applied to. Preparation — removing loose material, filling, cleaning, drying and priming — is the applicator’s responsibility.
We will specify a suitable system for the surface you describe, but we cannot assess a surface we have not seen, and we do not warrant results on a surface prepared by others.
Coverage estimates
Guidance, not guarantee
Coverage figures are manufacturer estimates under the stated test and application conditions. Actual coverage varies with surface texture, porosity, application method, film thickness and number of coats.
Any quantity estimate we give is guidance based on the area and surface you describe. Allow a margin, and keep any shade code, batch or formula reference shown on the bill or tint record, where provided in case more is needed.
