Should I use the same finish inside and outside?
Exterior timber faces UV and moisture that interior timber does not, and products are formulated accordingly. Follow the product intended for the exposure.
Do I need to sand between coats?
Many wood finish systems call for it, but whether and how is stated by the product. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the finish you are using.
